T-Shirt Designs are more than just clever...

...they should appeal to the eye as well. I see so many great ideas on this site. Many of which I don't even know how to emulate. However, the fashion conscience of the day have requirements.

I, for example, will never wear a blank white or black tee with just an expression on it. Even if it's clever. What are we doing to offer different colors/styles of t-shirts. Also, size/fit is an issue. The "thing" these days is fit/vintage/European sized t-shirts. That's fine if that's not what we're providing here, but a sizing chart would help determine what size I need to get.

I don't know what the goal of this site is...I do know that there's a lot of talented people here with the brilliance to come up with some clever and interesting shit. Are we appealing to people that wear shirts with catch phrases, or are we appealing to people wearing nice shirts that just happen to have clever, interesting things on it.

Maybe in the long run the evolution will happen automatically, I'm just trying to catch the "drift" of what we're trying to do here.

PS: How the f*ck does one design a t-shirt. I've got an idea but I don't know how to start

I would love to at least get black tees too. I would probably never wear white myself, apart from my videosift one, which is only for special occasions.

I haven't the slightest fucking clue how to make shirts for this either. Inkscape is fucking weird as balls, and if I make something in gimp and copypaste, the site won't accept it because the fucking svg image has an "embedded image." What the shit is that? And yes, every last stroke of my virtual brush it my own work, no one else's. I've been working on my one god damn design in Inkscape for a week, and I still can't figure out how to get the fucking thing into the right size or get rid of the fucking stupid ass white areas that aren't used. The help section is assfuckretarded, and the video tutorials all look like they were made by retarded kids that stick q-tips as far as they can into their nose. GYAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!

As you can see, I'm slightly frustrated with the process. So if you figure out anyone that has a clue how to use the program, I'd be very grateful if you'd let them know I'd like a little assistance.

A great place to start if you're brand new to Inkscape and/or vector image editing (as I was just a short while ago) is YouTube. It's extremely useful to start with the most basic video tutorials that explain what's what.

I had never touched a vector in my life before starting with Inkscape but it really isn't as daunting as it seems. Just keep in mind that "normal" old raster editing is like spraying paint onto a canvas but vector editing is like arranging Legos. That is to say everything in a vector is like a physical, shaped object for which you can change fill color, border (stroke) color, size, and shape. It might not make sense at first, but it becomes clearer after just a wee bit of practice.
